Sitting Bull - part 4

SittingBull feels angry and anxious because the white men hunt and kill buffaloes and they attack his family.
He wants the Whites to leave because the Indians can't survive without buffaloes.
Otherwise, he will fight the Whites again.

Today, the Indians hunt buffaloes and follow them. They protect their family and tribe and they sell fur to the Whites.
But their relations with the Whites are bad. The white men want to mine gold in the Black Hills, they want to take their sacred territory.
The white men did not respect the agreement / alliance.

Shanti's bedroom

There are a lot of / lots of / many pictures of her friends. Alwena has got many friends, she is friendly and sociable.
There are lots of cups and medals / trophies on a shelf above the desk because she enjoys swimming in competitions. She's quite good at it, it's her favourite thing in the world.

In Wyoming

This is a picture of a landscape in Wyoming.
In the background there are high mountains capped with snow.
In the foreground there are lots of buffaloes. They are grazing / eating grass. Indians hunted buffaloes for food.
There is an old picture of a trapper. He hunted a bear for the fur.
Indians are doing a traditional dance. They wear traditional costumes with feathers.

Plains Indians

They were* nomadic because they followed the buffaloes. They hunted them for food, leather and fur. They lived in teepees made* from the leather. The teepees were* moved quickly.
They made* headdresses, mocassins, and clothes from the leather.
