Spelling Bee!

This is a poster for a spelling competition = a spelling bee. It takes place on Friday 4th April at 6:30 (six thirty) PM (afternoon). Children in grades 1 to 5 (7 - 11 years old) can participate.

This movie/ film is about Akeelah Anderson. She is 11 years old. She is good at spelling so she participates in the National Spelling Bee and she wins.

2) Frances is late because she missed her bus, she overslept*. The teacher is fed up / exasperated because it's the second time this week, and she forgot* her late slip.

3) Jonathan is sick, he needs / wants to go to the toilet

Pour faire un ordre négatif, on utilise don't + BV

PRL: can / could

Can et could permettent de demander un service.
Can: pour demander à un ami
Could: pour demander au professeur ou à un autre adulte, plus poli.
Attention à la prononciation: could : /ku:d/
